My name is Helen, and I am a qualified Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist, and Integrative Coach with a wealth of clinical experience.

I offer a safe, supportive space where you can truly be yourself and refocus on the positives in your life. Using the latest neuroscience research & therapeutic care, I tailor my approach to help you create lasting change, so you can move forward with confidence and balance. Whether you’re looking for hypnotherapy, coaching, or simply a space to think, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I offer therapy from my clinic at my home in Sandal, Wakefield, as well as online, which ever suits you best.  Whether in-person or virtual, you’ll receive the same high-quality, supportive care, tailored to your needs, allowing flexibility and ease in accessing therapy wherever you are.

 

During our session I won’t ask you about the past but instead encourage you to concentrate on the future, so you won’t need to worry about reliving any traumatic events. I work hard to create an open space where you don’t feel judged or uncomfortable, just completely safe and relaxed. I started vaping around 3 years ago to help stop smoking.

Although the vaping did work, it is now apparent it is more addictive than smoking.

I have been seeing Helen since November 2023 for anxiety. I have had an anxiety disorder since being a teenager so around 30 years. It has become worse over the last 3 years and was impacting my life in a really negative way.

I was apprehensive about doing hypnotherapy as I wasn’t sure what to expect or how it would really help to alleviate the anxiety.

On my first visit Helen immediately put me at ease and made me feel really comfortable and explained exactly what to expect. She reassured me that she would be able to help. Helen has a way with people and uses supportive and positive language at all times. This makes you feel confident to share what’s on your mind and be open and honest.

As the weeks/sessions passed I have found myself feeling less and less anxious when in situations that would normally cause me to feel physically unwell due to the symptoms of anxiety.  I can now say that for the first time in 30 years I am in a position where I do not let my anxiety control my life and this is solely down to Helen.

The environment that Helen works in is comfortable and welcoming and you instantly feel at ease and relaxed.

I started Hypnotherapy not really knowing what I was getting into, I never looked at the problems I had with my anxiety as anything other than “normal.” I had always been this way, but I had to admit, the past few years it had gotten a lot worse, and so I thought it was worth a shot. Sceptical would be the best word to describe how I felt walking into my first session.

Helen immediately put me at ease, she explained how it would work, the kind of things we would talk about, and the reasons I was there, I realised that it wasn’t normal for me to feel how I did, and I knew I needed to embrace the therapy with open arms.

Within a few weeks Helen helped me see just how much of a difference there was in me.  Each week I felt calmer and more in charge of my mind. I had a couple of big events happen to me during my time in therapy, and I spent a lot of time thinking about how this would have previously made me think, and how different I was handling those situations now.

I feel so happy that I committed and embraced the therapy with Helen, I’m sleeping so much better, I listen to Helen’s recordings every night before bed and they help to relax me and send me off sleep.

My friends and family have seen a difference and mentioned how much happier I am, and I owe it all to Helen.

I walk out of my sessions with Helen feeling so proud of the work we have done together. I’m starting to push my old boundaries of things I would have usually shied away from. My anxiety is still there about certain things, but I now know what to do to ease it.

I can’t recommend Helen enough, I feel like a different person, and I’m so glad I took the plunge when I did.

I have struggled with my mental health for some time and over the years I have learnt to live with it and recognise my trigger points. I can honestly say I thought I had it under control. Until I met Helen and realised this issue went much deeper.

I recall my first meeting with Helen she was so welcoming and made me feel at ease. One of my main struggles is I need to know what is going to happen, I really do not like surprises and need to understand the process. Each session Helen would break it down, so I knew what was coming next. The first session opened lots of feeling and emotions I did not realise I had, I cried a lot. Thanks to Helen now I know why… My stress bucket was bursting at the seams and overflowing!

Helen has given me the tools to understand why I think the way I do. I can now understand why I make the decision I do. This has given me so much clarity and can now easily navigate this crazy world.
